Drift Masters Hungary 2024: A First Visit to Máriapócs
This archive post takes us back to 2024, when we headed to the Hungarian round of Drift Masters at RabócsiRing in Máriapócs.

By then, I had been attending King of Europe and Drift Masters events for almost seven years, but this was my first visit to Máriapócs. The venue immediately impressed me, and I still consider it one of the best in Europe.
The track access, layout options, and spectator areas all contribute to that impression. Fans can watch the action from almost every side of the circuit, with viewing areas elevated above the track. That difference in height gives the venue a colosseum-like feel, with the audience looking down into the arena.
The Drift Masters layout itself is demanding, especially at the entry and towards the finish, where the wall rides leave very little room for error. Placing the car exactly where it needs to be is crucial. Get it wrong, and the damage can be severe enough to end a driver’s weekend.
It was a fun event with a good flow. The setup allowed drivers to enter and exit the layout quickly, keeping the action moving, while the spacious pits gave teams plenty of room to work.
RabócsiRing also has a huge camping area, giving fans the option to spend the entire weekend at the circuit without needing to leave. With food, barbecues, and people settling in for a full weekend of drifting, it felt more like a festival than just another round of Drift Masters.
